1. Nature of This Reference
The Woodlands Residents Directory is independently operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections related to people who live or once lived in The Woodlands, Texas. It does not host government records, and it is not connected with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use
Use this reference only for lawful purposes. You must not use it, or material reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Role
The Woodlands Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. External Services
Government portals, sponsored tools, and other outside services have their own rules and privacy practices. We do not control their content, availability, prices, or handling of data.
5. Information Without Warranties
This service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that content is accurate, complete, or current, nor that a linked portal will remain available or return correct results.
6. Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including choices made from records found through them.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arises from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page and quote brief attributed excerpts. Republishing full pages or systematically copying content is not permitted.
9. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a revision means that you accept it.
10. Restricting Access
At our discretion and without notice, we may block or limit access for a user who breaches these terms or misuses the service.
11. Texas Law
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Texas Government Code Chapter 552, the Texas Public Information Act, controls access to many government records but preserves statutory confidentiality and other exceptions. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act also supplies consumer privacy rights in circumstances where that Act applies; neither law changes this service into a government custodian or a source of protected records.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
